The mission of ACM-W is to engage students in activities that improve the working and learning environments for women in technology. This is accomplished by mentoring, volunteering, teaching others, and encouraging other women to get involved in CS. We also provide historical information about women and their contributions within computer science.

NSBE Logo

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at Ohio State is dedicated to increasing the number of culturally responsible black engineers. Members are encouraged to excel academically, succeed professionally, and make a positive impact upon our community.  Activities include study tables, professional development workshops, motivational speaker events, pre-college activities, community service and attending regional and national conferences.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is devoted to the promotion and advancement of Hispanic students in engineering, architecture, and other technical sciences. Activities include community outreach programs such as STEM Challenge and Noche de Ciencias, academic and professional development workshops, and social events. Members can also attend national and regional conferences where they can meet Hispanic professionals and make contacts for future co-op and internship opportunities.

Lambda Psi Logo

Lambda Psi Honorary is an undergraduate engineering honorary which targets underrepresented minorities within the College of Engineering. The organization’s mission is to promote and achieve the highest level of academic excellence.  Activities include professional development workshops, dinner and discussion sessions with faculty, undergraduate research seminars, hosting of STEM Fest (a pre-college outreach event for all of the STEM Clubs in the Columbus City Schools), end of semester Finals Study Marathons, and social events.
