Summer School in Advanced Mobility

Learn the technical skills required to tackle the key engineering challenges in the field of personal mobility including electrification, connectivity, automation and  multi-modal transportation systems.

This three-day workshop is geared towards engineers, managers and thought leaders in the automotive industry and transportation sector.

Day 1: Electrification and Storage

Participants will be introduced to key concepts of vehicle electrification and energy storage, receiving a broad overview on the state of the art, new developments and engineering challenges and opportunities. The day will end with a tour of the OSU Center for Automotive Research. Learn more...

Day 2: Connectivity and Automation

Participants will be introduced to the underlying technology of connected and automated vehicles, as well as validation methods for autonomous vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems based on simulation and road testing. The day will conclude with a tour of Transportation Research Center Inc. 

Day 3: Multi-Modal Mobility and Security

Participants will be introduced to the systems aspects of transportation, covering travel demand forecasting in multi-mode transportation scenarios. Methods and tools for cybersecurity of connected and autonomous vehicles will also be introduced. The day will conclude with a keynote from DriveOhio followed by a reception.

 

Attendees have the option of attending one, two or all three days of the Summer School in Advanced Mobility.
